Webb21 feb. 2024 · Hi Guys I am having a problem with my Hatsan plastic moderator and want to remove it for an upgrade. I have removed the baffles and was expecting a 17mm nut to undo and remove it. The best one is the one with the most uniform transition. Accuracy wise the angle or shape does not matter, uniformity does. That said, some angles, shapes and especially a recessed crown may protect that transition edge more than others which can be a good thing.

Webb2 feb. 2009 · You better go tell all those Palma shooters with their 30" barrel that they can make them more accurate if they cut them to 18" :lol: Your friends rifle probably got more accurate due to recrowning more than actually cutting the barrel. Some factory crowns can be pretty rough and will effect accuracy as it is the las thing the bullet touches.

Maybe the barrel is worn and the riffling is the issue. Not sure how many rounds have been through the gun. Also, consider new scope base/rings and lap the rings and properly torque them down.
